Ben Hendy, our resident printmaker is bringing you this wonderful rubber stamp workshop with minimal materials. Discover how to make a beautiful rubber stamp repeat patterns. Ben will show you how to design, carve and print your own stamp using just an eraser, scalpel and ink pad. Your printed sheets of repeat patterns will make fantastic one-of-a-kind wrapping paper, or hang beautifully as a decorative artwork. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and printmakers looking to experiment and explore this versatile medium.

Ben Hendy graduated in 2012 in BA Illustration course from Middlesex University, where he now teaches as a Printmaking Technician and Lecturer of Visual Arts. In 2018, Ben was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, one of the world’s premier printmaking organisations.
Ben is an active member of the Society of Bookbinders and is the organises their International Bookbinding Competition. Recent awards include the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Print Prize, The Heatherley School of Fine Art Open Studio Prize, and the Printmaking Today Artist’s Eye Prize." Materials you will need
Eraser. At least one, but it would be nice to have a few to experiment with any eraser will work however your eraser must have a flat side to carve into. Ben will be using 5.5x2.5cm sized eraser. BUY HERE
Ink pad. In as many different colours as you like, but one colour is also fine. BUY HERE
Paper to print onto. (Any paper you wish to print onto will work, you can choose the size, depending what you want to create.
Pencil or pen.
