Tutor: Tiffany Foster
Tiffany is an American-born visual artist and art historian based in London. She received her BFA in fine art portraiture and art history from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, going on to complete an MA in history of art at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
She believes that an intimate understanding of the history of art allows a unique perspective into fine arts practices. Her works are predominantly figurative, and Tiffany often challenges the boundaries of what she considers the "real" and "unreal" in her sculptures and paintings, with a focus on classical techniques.
Tiffany has exhibited in galleries along the west coast of the United States and has been published as both an artist and art historian. She has worked as an art tutor for over five years, settling in as a teacher at Lavender Art School in 2023, delivering fine art teaching and art historical insight.
