Book Workshop

Want to do something more creative with your friends and family? Then our Print and Prosecco Workshop is perfect for an evening of catching up and creating something together, whilst sipping on a delicious beverage.

Learn how to Lino Print in this fun evening workshop. Haven’t done print before? then dont worry our tutor will take you through the process of creating, carving and printing.

What’s Lino Printing? Lino printing is a form of printmaking, where you carve into a surface block, lino. Yes, lino as in linoleum, as in the floor covering. The lino is then inked, a piece of paper placed over it, and pressure applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper.

Lino printing is a fun, creative process, where no experience is needed, we shall go through all the steps.

Do I need to be able to draw to come to the workshop?

No, Lino Printing is about the marks you make with your tools. In our print and prosecco workshop the image will already be drawn onto the lino for you as a guide, but don’t worry if you find yourself feeling a little more confident as the workshop progresses, there are ways to design and create a more unique print.

Should I bring my own alcoholic/non alcoholic beverage?

Yes, its BYO so do bring your own beverage and we will provide the glasses. Please be aware that sharp tools are going to be used, so we do ask you to drink responsible.

What will I go home with?

You will leave with around 5 beautiful A4 prints to hang at home and the knowledge to keep printing.

Do I have to bring any materials?

We provide all materials and equipment.  We are currently not handing out aprons, please bring your own or wear suitable clothing.
